“Envy is ignorance; imitation is suicide.”

envy is ignorance indeed
is envy a lack of self-knowledge or a refusal to accept one’s nature? I wonder .,,
What does originality demand that comfort cannot offer?
is it risk and loneliness ?
and does originality demand walking a path with no applause or with discomfort?
so what’e the true risk here? Is it self- confrontation? as authenticity and originality forces us to discover what we actually think and value while comfort allows us to postpone that reckoning ?
what about solitude ? What does solitude reveal that guidance cannot?
What can only be learned through experience, not example?
Alone and there’s no one to blame, impress, or echo, what we choose is unusually honest, isn’t it ? and how do we arrive at choosing responsibility without witnesses is elusive, don’t you think?
but comfort comes at its own price, doesn’t it? not wondering or asking one too many questions, or not straying far from what’s already been validated,
or could the risk of originality be exposure and misunderstanding?Originality often takes time to build, something from scratch, not perfect at first until it takes that immense form while comfort offers instant recognition, it doesn’t command perfection or an absolute truth!
and why does one imitate?
because certainty feels safer than discovery?
belonging easier than risk?
and approval louder than truth?
A final thought on my inquiry; this simple phrase carries a certain depth that only unfolds when left unprotected by comfort . Originality demands what comfort withholds — discomfort, solitude and the courage to not know.
And what did you inquire about?
